Mary Ann Thompson-Frenk D.D. (h.c.), FRSA is a co-founder of The Memnosyne Institute with her husband, Joshua Raymond Frenk, which includes programs, FoodSourceDFW, (one of the leading initiatives fighting food waste in the nation (led by Rev. Dr. Todd Collier) feeding 5,000 families a day in Dallas alone and $65M of food saved to date and redistributed it to food panties and homeless shelters across the USA, including Hawaii and Puerto Rico and helped associate organizations, like FEMA and the Red Cross be matched with participating donors resulting in assisting the Red Cross to get 2 truckloads of food to the Ukraine and the program being currently set up in the UK to extend its reach), GreenSourceDFW now GreenSourceTX which unites the eco-community across the Lone Star State, three international chapters including Memnosyne Asia, Memnosyne Mexico where it supports two cultural centers serving the Maya (Centro Comunitario U kúuchil k Ch’i’ibalo’on -Raxalaj Mayab’), and Tolteca (Centro Cultural Tolteca de Teotihuacan AC / Toltec Cultural Center) people and Memnosyne UK which serves both the UK and those countries once part of the commonwealth, resulting in collaborating with GUA Africa to bring 160 Sudanese families to safety in South Sudan.

She led The Memnosyne Institute team in negotiating the first treaty/alliance in 300 years between Hopi and Navajo nations and due COVID-19, she redirected her focus to lead The Memnosyne Institute’s “Masks For Life” initiative in providing $246,400 worth of KN95 reusable masks for indigenous communities in Alaska, New York, Nevada, Texas, California, Montana, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Mexico, Arizona, New Mexico and worked to negotiate the donation of water to the Comecrudo Carrizo Tribe of Texas from 7-Eleven during the harsh Texas freeze in early 2021. In 2021 Texas Representatives Victoria Neave and Rhetta Bowers drafted Bill HR1472 to recognize Mary Ann’s statewide, national and local humanitarian work.

She is also a multi-timed published writer, internationally award-winning sculptor, human rights/environmental activist, social-responsible investor/conscious-capitalist and international speaker, including at the UN, White House, House of Lords, Parliament of World Religions to 3,000 people and for the 2020 Dallas Women’s March to 5,000, and she is an advocate of social responsible investing and conscious capitalism including working with Dr. Phillip Shinoda via the Memnosyne Institute in the creation of Dallas’ first SRI conference cohosted with Texas Capital Bank, she has served as a panelist for NEXUS at the United Nations on the topic and she was the first major investor in multiple SRI’s with an overall focus on investing and curating purpose-driven entities, leading to her recently co-founding UTF Holdings with Kalu Ugwuomo Jr. which aims to support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals as well as creating SRI funds aimed at empowering minorities including African Americans, Native Americans/Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, women, LGBT entrepreneurs, environmental/energy solutions and where she, Kalu and her husband Joshua are also currently coordinating a joint non-profit/for-profit effort to expand Africa’s grain shortage with Baroness Verma, Emmanuel Jal, Aaron Berger and others called the “Africa Breadbasket Project” aimed at offsetting the reduction of grain due to the destruction of a dam by Russia, beginning with assisting the Sudanese refugees The Memnosyne Institute supported GUA Africa, led by Emmanuel Jal, in helping to escape from the war zone into South Sudan and who are now living in Ethiopia where initiative is also aimed at helping the indigenous Ethiopian communities as well.

She is now also the co-founder along with Tania Arrayales Rodriguez, (recognized as Mexico’s leading female green architect), in establishing Eco-Eco, aimed at creating solar farms via Green Energy Llc, which will double as pollinator sanctuaries, a goal that they included when realizing how the dissemination of the monarch populations relates to the rising cost of grain.

She is also leading her team to begin the capital campaign for The Memnosyne Center for Outreach made possible via local developer Mike Hoque of Hoque Global who has donated land for located behind City Hall which will house the interactive Vital Signs Monitor designed by Thomas Q. Johns, an AI based on Dr. Don E. Beck’s Spiral Dynamics tracking the U.N.’s SDG’s that in collaboration with Logictry’s AI, will aim to provide the means for participating counties in the United Nations to be better able to diagnose themselves relative to meeting the Sustainable Development Goals via the Vital Signs Monitor and identify/connect with private sector solutions via Logictry. In February 2026 she was selected to be the global humanitarian highlighted in CIO LOOK Magazine’s cover for the “Change Catalysts: The Innovative Leaders Driving Transformation Globally” and has been selected as “The Most Influential Women Leader in Sustainability & Global Innovation, 2026” by Feed & Feature Magazine in its upcoming publication.
