Eddie Avil is the Founder and CEO of XROM, an immersive tech-focused group company with various business verticals, all founded with a vision to nurture and advance India’s Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality industry.
Eddie has created:
- XROM-News – a one-stop source for XR news and the latest happenings from India and around the globe.
- XROM-Podcast – the first audio/video podcast dedicated to the AR/VR industry in India.
- XROM-Studios – an XR content studio that produced India’s first stereoscopic award-winning virtual reality short experience, CRACKLE.
- XR-Bazaar – an e-commerce platform aimed at solving the accessibility problem of AR/VR hardware, software, and accessories in India.
He is also the Founder of IMMERSION, India’s first Virtual Reality Film Festival & Conference, which welcomed over 600 guests and featured 40+ speakers and experts from India and around the world. IMMERSION is widely recognized as the flagship IP for XR in India.
In 2020, Eddie founded Change Transform India (CTI), an exponential tech-focused IP and movement, providing a platform for disrupters, innovators, entrepreneurs, policy change-makers, and impact investors shaping the future.
The first part of the IP, CHANGE I M Possible Podcast, launched on India’s Republic Day, January 26, 2020. CTI engages in conversations on the future of humanity with leaders from India and worldwide. This podcast explores disruptive technologies including Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Blockchain, Extended Reality, Synthetic Biology, Robotics, Autonomous Vehicles, Drones, 3D Printing, and Quantum Computing. It aims to educate, engage, empower, and help businesses, individuals, governments, institutions, and investors leverage exponential technologies to build a future-ready India.
Eddie was recently recognized as one of the 50 Fabulous Innovative Leaders at the World HRD Congress 2020.
He is also Partner and Owner at Sounds Good Studios since 2010, a state-of-the-art audio and video recording studio in Mumbai. In 2014, the studio received the Excellence in Production Award at the Mirchi Kaan Awards.
