Eddie Avil is Founder and CEO of XROM, an immersive technology group focused on building India’s AR/VR ecosystem. Through XROM, he has launched several initiatives:
- XROM-News, an XR news platform covering global updates
- XROM-Podcast, an AR/VR-focused audio/video podcast in India
- XROM-Studios, an XR content studio that produced India’s first stereoscopic award-winning VR short experience CRACKLE
- XR-Bazaar, an e-commerce platform for AR/VR hardware, software, and accessories
He also founded IMMERSION, India’s first VR film festival and conference, which hosted 600+ attendees and 40+ speakers, and is considered a flagship XR event in India.
In 2020, he launched Change Transform India (CTI), an initiative and podcast platform focused on exponential technologies such as AI, IoT, blockchain, XR, robotics, and quantum computing, aiming to engage policymakers, entrepreneurs, and investors in future technologies.
Earlier, he founded Sounds Good Studios (2010), an audio/video production studio in Mumbai, which received the Excellence in Production Award at the Mirchi Kaan Awards in 2014.
He was recognized as one of the “50 Fabulous Innovative Leaders” at the World HRD Congress 2020.
