Jerome C. Glenn is Executive Director, co-founder and CEO of The Millennium Project (est. 1996), a global futures research initiative. Together with Elizabeth Florescu and the Millennium Project team, he has co-authored the State of the Future 19.1 report and 18 other reports over the past 25 years.
He previously served as Washington, DC representative for the United Nations University and Executive Director of the American Council for the UNU (1988–2007). He has contributed to EU Horizon programs, including an AGI-related paper for Horizon 2025–2027, and participates in IEEE SA AI governance working group P2863.
With over 50 years in futures research, Glenn has led 60+ international projects and delivered 300+ keynote talks worldwide on topics such as AI, governance, and the future of work.
He is the inventor of the “Futures Wheel” methodology and has authored or edited works including Future Mind and the Futures Research Methodology series. Earlier in his career, he founded CARINET (1983), an early computer network for the developing world, and worked in economic development through Partnership for Productivity International.
He holds a BA in Philosophy (American University) and an MA in Teaching Social Science – Futuristics (Antioch-Putney), with additional doctoral studies in futures research (University of Massachusetts).
