Jaden Braves is a young Canadian climate activist and civic engagement leader focused on youth participation in democracy and environmental action.
He became involved in climate and political advocacy at age 9 and later became, at 15, the youngest member of the Green Party of Canada Federal Council. He is the founder of the Young Politicians of Canada (YPC), a non-profit, non-partisan organization aimed at amplifying youth voices in Canadian politics.
Through YPC, he has helped establish youth-led chapters across most Canadian provinces, as well as initiatives such as a Placement Program that connects youth with municipal, provincial, and federal government offices to gain experience and contribute to policy discussions. He has also supported the creation of youth councils and advisory boards within political institutions.
His work includes partnerships with organizations such as UNICEF, CIVIX, Children First Canada, Fair Vote Canada, and Democracy X Change, among others. He has also prioritized Indigenous youth representation through dedicated youth roundtables and broader efforts to increase diversity in political engagement.
His overall focus is on youth empowerment, climate action, and strengthening participatory democracy in Canada.
