Ian Speirs spent over 25 years at JPMorgan, where he held senior roles across the Corporate & Investment Bank and Asset Management divisions. During his tenure, he developed deep expertise in global financial markets, market infrastructure, and large-scale strategic transformation, leading complex initiatives across trading, risk, and operational functions.

He began his career specialising in OTC equity derivatives before expanding into credit markets, working across front and middle office roles including pricing, risk management, and client engagement. Over time, he became a trusted leader of strategic programmes, contributing to firm-wide operational and structural evolution, as well as industry-wide market infrastructure reform following the financial crisis.

Today, Ian is an active independent trader and investor, deploying his own capital across public and private markets. He is particularly focused on identifying high-potential early-stage and growth-stage companies seeking investment and strategic support.

As co-founder of the Investors Club, he works closely with entrepreneurs and fellow investors to assemble aligned investment groups capable of participating in larger funding rounds. Where appropriate, he helps bring together multiple investors to meet the capital requirements of scaling businesses, while also providing strategic guidance to founders and leadership teams.

Ian is especially interested in connecting with ambitious founders building scalable, defensible businesses with strong leadership and clear market opportunity.

He is also the Founder of Global Man Club, a global men’s personal development and accountability movement dedicated to leadership, growth, and responsibility.

Outside of his professional work, Ian is a competitive sailor, regularly racing in the Solent off the south coast of England, and a dedicated wine enthusiast with a passion for food and wine pairing.
