Francisco Pedro Presas Pinto de Balsemão is the CEO of Impresa, the largest media & entertainment, publishing and podcasting company in Portugal. Before, he was an executive Board Member and Impresa’s Director for Human Resources, Legal Affairs and Sustainability.
He has a law degree from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Lisbon) and a master’s degree in law (Magister Juris) from Oxford University (UK). He also undertook several management programs in Lisbon (Nova SBE, Católica University and Eurogroup Consulting Portugal), Chicago (Kellogg School of Management), Lausanne (IMD Business School) and Silicon Valley (Singularity University).
He began his career in 2003 as a lawyer at Linklaters and later as a Human Resources Consultant at Heidrick & Struggles. He was also an Assistant Attaché at the Portuguese Mission to the United Nations, in New York, having worked in the Human Rights Committee.
Francisco is currently the Vice-President of SIC Esperança, an NGO.
