Bhuvanesh Awasthi is a Senior Behavioral-Policy Researcher with a particular focus on emerging and critical technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Neuro-technology and Quantum. A Biologist-turned-Cognitive Neuroscientist, Dr Awasthi has worked in academic, startup, government, and international advisory settings across 8 countries in 5 continents. He has been a Science Diplomacy Fellow with Inter American Institute of Global Change research (Uruguay) and MITACS – Canadian Science Policy fellow.
In recent years, he provided research, advice and inputs at the UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab, OECD- International Network on Financial Education (Paris), the Government of Canada (Financial Consumer Agency of Canada; Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada), Government of Denmark (Danish Veterinary and Food Administration) and Government of India (NIPFP, LBSNAA, the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser) as well as on projects with the national science agencies of USA (NIH), France (CNRS) and Australia (CSIRO). Through these interfaces, Dr Awasthi is applying cognitive, behavioral and neuroscience research for an equitable and science diplomatic approach to leverage AI, quantum and neurotechnology innovations.
